So I was told that I absolutely HAD to try a deep fried mars bar while in Glasgow, and that Pizza Crolla was the place for it.
I'm glad I did.
It was just as you'd expect it to be- fried, crispy goodness on the outside, melty, gooey goodness on the inside. For a single piece it was under £3. The only thing I would say was missing was a nice scoop of ice cream, otherwise it hit the spot (and didn't feel too greasy so I felt quite alright after!)
There is no seating in this location, and it gets quite busy at night as they're open late for the pub and bar crowds, but during the day there was no lineup and I barely had to wait at all.
If you're into sweets, I would totally recommend the deep fried mars bar. Otherwise, they definitely have other options like fish and chips and the like. -

I've. Been coming here for years. Between Buchanan street and George street, with an Internet cafe up stairs.
Their Fish n Chips, melt in your mouth. I stopped coming here years ago, as there was a cheeky woman who worked here. All the staff are nice now. It's small, but so busy. I'd pick this over BlueLagoon any day. -

Many a time I've been thankful for this delight, located perfectly next to Queen Street Station. Last night after a few drinkies we were again in need of a 'wee bag of chips', what better place than here. As always they were squiggie, doused in the perfect amount of salt and vinegar and served with a smile. As we sat outside, taking in the evening going ons of Glasgow night life, we were once again satisfied.....a true Glasgow institution

Final destination.
Nope, not the movie - this is where all good nights out should end. Salt and vinegar with a side of chips, mmmmm. -

Holy good lordy please give me chips so that i may try in a vain attempt to soak up some of this alcohol that is currently swimming around in ma belly.
Chips served. Chips eaten. Alcohol still swimming. Oooft, ma heid.
Right fine, it's called Pizza Crolla, but let's face it, this is a chippy and nothing more, nothing less. We all know this. We all expect this, we all chuckle when someone from a foreign land becoming mystified as we chow down on a battered sausage supper.
I long for the late night takeaway options to become more varied, as is the trend with the restaurant diversity in Glasgow. For now though, this place beams like a wee beacon of 'CHIPS' to the moth like drunkerds of sunny G.
Nowt special, but there, very much there.
